GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -Alachua County firefighters put out a wildland fire in Southwest Alachua County Wednesday afternoon.
Firefighters from Alachua County, Newberry, and the Florida Forest Service were dispatched to a near six acre fire around 4 p.m.

Alachua County Fire Rescue officials say a barn in Southwest Alachua County was also engulfed in flames when they arrived.
They had to use fire trucks, planes and tractors to put out the fire. Officials say there were no injuries.
ACFR officials say residents need follow all proper burn regulations when burning yard debris and to comply with any active burn bans.
