FAYETTEVILLE -- ESPN 5-star basketball prospect Baba Oladotun verbally committed to Maryland on Wednesday evening, selecting the Terps over other finalists Arkansas, Georgetown and Kentucky.
Oladotun, 6-9, 190 pounds, of Silver Springs (Md.) James Hubert Blake, made an official visit to Fayetteville on Oct. 24-26.
He is also rated as the No. 3 power forward and the No. 8 prospect nationally by ESPN. He averaged 13.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.5 assist per game in the spring and summer with Team Durant on the Nike EYBL circuit.
Arkansas has also hosted ESPN 5-star prospects Brandon McCoy Jr., Jordan Smith Jr. and Caleb Holt for official visits. It appears the Razorbacks will have to wait until the spring signing period to learn of their decisions.
Holt, 6-5, 200 pounds, of Fort Lauderda
