OMAHA, Neb. —

For some families, "home for the holidays" will mean a lot more this year.

Omaha 100 celebrated four newly built, affordable homes on Wednesday.

The organization cut the ribbon in north Omaha.

Its goal is to give people pathways to affordable homeownership.

Omaha Mayor John Ewing Jr. said it's important to have housing at all price points.

"They give us an opportunity to help support families and help families grow and help our young people have the stability that they need," he said.

Ewing said there will be more projects for affordable housing in the future.

It's unclear when families will move into the new homes.
