A wine bar is expanding from Johns Island to the big Summerville development. Somm is slated to open its second Lowcountry location Nov. 21 at 4 p.m. — just in time for happy hour.

The business, owned and operated by husband-and-wife team and sommelier Jordan and Darlene Hooker , opened in 2023 at 700 Halcyon Loop on Johns Island and offers wine flights, retail bottles, desserts, charcuterie boards, snacks and no corkage fee on bottles purchased on site.

The Berkeley County Somm Nexton at 420 Cross Park Lane is double the size of the original and features a large outdoor patio and a mirrored menu of the Johns Island’s snack offerings.
