Penn State finally got out of the “storm” interim coach Terry Smith referenced as his team suffered a six-game losing streak.
The Nittany Lions controlled a 28-10 win at Michigan State, celebrating emotionally for Smith’s first win.
Now, the question is, can they turn it into a win streak?
Penn State (4-6, 1-6) returns home Saturday in Beaver Stadium to take on Nebraska (7-3, 4-3). The game will air at 7 p.m. on Peacock.
Nebraska is led by third-year head coach Matt Rhule, a Penn State alumnus and State College area native. The Cornhuskers, much like Penn State, are onto their backup quarterback after starter Dylan Raiola sustained a season-ending injury.
