WEST END, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Seven Lakes woman was tragically shot and killed earlier this year, and now her husband has been indicted in connection with her death.
On January 3, deputies from the Moore County Sheriff's Office responded to a home on Longleaf Drive in Seven Lakes West a fter receiving a report of an accidental shooting. They found 41-year-old Rachel Loken, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the initial report, the firearm was discharged while being handled by her husband, Christopher Loken, in a nearby room. After reviewing the case, a Moore County grand jury returned an indictment for one count of involuntary manslaughter.
