ANN ARBOR — The last time Michigan played Maryland, Michigan starting edge Jaishawn Barham was playing for the Terrapins. As a sophomore in 2023, he intercepted a J.J. McCarthy pass at the goal line late in the second half and made seven tackles. The year before, he had eight tackles. Michigan won both games by seven.

Barham has been a Wolverine the past two seasons. He hasn’t spoken to the media at either school, so we’re not sure how he feels about facing his former team Saturday (4 p.m. ET, BTN).

Earlier this week, Maryland coach Mike Locksley called Barham and Michigan edge Derrick Moore “two talented pass rushers that we know a lot about.” He said they’ll pose “a tremendous challenge for our tackles.”
