CEDAR HILL, Texas — Cedar Hill High School football coach Nick Ward has been placed on leave pending an investigation into possible violations involving ineligible coaches, according to a letter the district sent to parents.
Also, Cedar Hill assistant coach Marcus Richardson, the team's offensive coordinator, has resigned, the letter said.
"Federal privacy laws prevent us from discussing specifics about personnel matters, but we want to make you aware of the situation," the letter said. "Possible violations involving ineligible coaches were self-reported to UIL. We do not currently know if UIL will take any action moving forward, but we will cooperate as they investigate."
Coach Brice Musgrove will take over as head coach in the interim, according to the district.
