A 42-year-old Connecticut woman is accused of prostituting underage girls and using them to rob potential clients when they met up for sex, federal authorities said.

Jamira Denise Myers, of Hamden, was charged this week with sex trafficking and attempted sex trafficking of minors, forced labor and attempted forced labor of minors, and obstruction and attempted obstruction of sex trafficking enforcement, the US Attorney for Connecticut said.

The investigation into Myers began in July 2025, when police found a post featuring a 16-year-old girl on a site advertising commercial sex, authorities said. A deeper look found that Myers was using the site to prostitute five minors between 14 and 17 years old.

Myers would arrange for the teens to meet potential johns at hotel rooms she had rented and instructed the children to rob the men, police said. She would split the stolen goods with the teens.

However, at least one girl was instructed to have sex with a client, prosecutors said.

Myers was arrested last month and has remained in custody. She faces a minimum of 15 years in prison if convicted and could serve up to life behind bars, per federal sentencing guidelines.
