BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Seniors Anthony Riley and Armani Perez each recorded double-doubles during Eagle Academy Staten Island’s (EASI) non-league victory over host Gaynor Campos on Wednesday.
Riley finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Perez added 10 points and 10 boards for Eagle, which won its season opener for the second straight season.
Justin Webley and Juneek Daniels chipped in 14 and eight points, respectively for Eagle.
Javan Beckles tallied a game-high 18 for the hosts.
Gaynor had slim leads at halftime (24-22) and after three quarters (37-35), but EASI saved its best for last to pull out the victory.
