BEREA — The Browns have locked down one of the top young defenders.
The team came to terms with defensive end Alex Wright on a three-year extension, a league source confirmed for the Beacon Journal. ESPN's Adam Schefter was the first to report.

Wright, 25, is in the final year under his rookie contract. He was selected in the third round of the 2022 draft out of UAB.
The 6-foot-5, 267-pound Wright is currently fighting through a quad injury he suffered in the Week 10 loss at the New York Jets. He hasn't practiced since suffering the injury.
