Just one week before Thanksgiving, the Youngstown Christmas tree was delivered on a flatbed semi-trailer on Thursday, around 11:15 a.m., to Central Square.

The tree was donated this year by Lloyd Mims Jr. and the Hyshaw family from the 400 block of Catalina Avenue.

The tree was cut down this morning around 9 a.m. before it started its nearly two-mile journey to downtown Youngstown.

On December 5, the tree lighting ceremony will follow the Youngstown Holiday Parade.

Festivities will begin at 4 p.m. with vendors at the Flea, followed by the Holiday Parade at 6 p.m., with the Christmas Tree lighting immediately after. OH WOW!
