ROCKVILLE, Md. — More than two years after Keylin Chavez-Dominguez was found dead under an overpass in Rockville, the ex-boyfriend who admitted to killing her was sentenced to life in prison.

According to the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, 33-year-old Francisco Lara-Garcia was sentenced to life in prison, with all but 40 years suspended, for killing his ex-girlfriend, 20-year-old Chavez Dominguez.
Lara-Garcia reported the woman he later admitted to killing as missing to police on Jan. 2, 2023. He insisted to detectives that while the two were living together, he had nothing to do with his ex-girlfriend's disappearance at the time.
