The other day at a West Shore School District meeting, they were talking to contractors about upgrades to the natatorium—swimming pool area for the layman—and drainage around one of the fields and parking lots.

During the questioning when Kelly Brent, one of the board members was inquiring about delays and Brian Guistwhite, her colleague, was inquiring about possibility of solar panels, one of the contractors mentioned an issue with electricians.

There is currently a shortage of electricians. Due to the goldrush of data centers trying to flood Pennsylvania, not only is there a shortage of electricians, but the cost for that type of work has skyrocketed. The contractors specifically mentioned this as an issue to finishing their work.
