Ozark native and recent Grammy nominee Jesse Welles performed last night on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert."
Welles, strumming a red guitar with American flags in the background, played the searing, topical folk song " Join ICE, " a track from his latest EP, "No Kings," during the broadcast. He also did the similarly charged "Red" in a bonus performance for the show's studio audience at the Ed Sullivan Theater in New York.
Earlier this month Welles was nominated for four Grammy awards -- Best Americana Performance for "Horses," Best American Roots Song for "Middle," Best Americana Album for "Middle" and Best Folk Album for "Under the Powerlines (April 24 – September 24)."
