BENTONVILLE -- Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is launching a new lecture series next month called "Building Bridges" with a conversation featuring former President Barack Obama, according to a news release from the museum.

The Dec. 1 event, hosted by museum board chair Olivia Walton, will focus on "civic leadership and the shared values that shape our democracy, offering inspiration as the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th anniversary," the release states.

The program will begin at 3:30 p.m. at the Heartland Whole Health Institute on the Crystal Bridges campus. Tickets are free and limited to two per person, with early access for museum members starting at 10 a.m. Friday.
