The last social media post of Gary 'Mani' Mounfield revealed the much-loved musician's excitement for an upcoming UK-wide conversational tour. The Stone Roses bassist has passed away at the age of 63, his brother Greg revealed on Facebook on Thursday.
Greg wrote: "IT IS WITH THE HEAVIEST OF HEARTS THAT I HAVE TO ANNOUNCE THE SAD PASSING OF MY BROTHER GARY MANI MOUNFIELD. RIP RKID." No details about Mani's death have yet been officially shared.
The Crumpsall native appeared to have big plans for next year, announcing a solo tour of the UK just over a week ago. Last Thursday, Mani revealed a 69-date schedule that would have seen him visit much of Britain throughout late 2026 and early 2027.
The tour was titled: The Stone Roses, Primal Scream, and Me - An Intimate
