The tip of the RSA Battle House Tower will return to its perch more than 700 feet above downtown Mobile early Sunday morning after being removed months ago. Some roads will be closed while the installation is completed.
In April, a helicopter carried away the high rise’s spire for repairs, according to the city of Mobile. The pinnacle of Alabama’s tallest building will be replaced between 5:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sections of Water, Dauphin, St. Michael and St. Francis streets will be briefly closed for no more than 15 minutes while a helicopter returns the spire.
