Coronation Street fans believe they've exposed Roy Cropper's secret prison pen pal in a horror Dales twist.

The beloved character, who is played by David Neilson , made his cobbles debut back in 1995, and it didn't take him long to become a fan-favourite star.

Roy has been involved in several major storylines over the years, including his marriage to wife Hayley (Julie Hesmondhalgh), who tragically died from cancer in 2014.
