PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs wants to amend the state's tax forms ahead of the forthcoming tax season.
Hobbs announced Thursday she had signed an executive order that instructs the Arizona Department of Revenue to update tax forms by including higher standard deductions for individuals and joint filers.
The department shall also include prospective instructions for how Arizona filers might take advantage of other deductions in "anticipation of the legislature codifying them into law," according to the governor's office.
