BUCKEYE, AZ (AZFamily) — Deputies said they seized nearly a dozen animals that they say were living in deplorable conditions at a property in the far West Valley.
The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office said that it received reports of possible animal abuse and neglect near 301st Avenue and Bellview Street in Buckeye on Wednesday, which prompted detectives with the Animal Crimes Unit to investigate.
At the home, investigators said they found “numerous animals and livestock living in horrific conditions.” Some of which were described as “dead or barely clinging to life.”

In a video posted on Facebook on Thursday , deputies were seen entering the home where three dogs were left unattended. Once inside, footage showed one dog lying unconscious.
