CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - A student at a Charlotte high school was arrested Thursday morning after they allegedly displayed a weapon to other students at a bus stop.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said on Thursday, Nov. 20, a student who goes to Palisades High School allegedly showed a weapon to other students at the bus stop.

Officials said a witness notified law enforcement, and they quickly took the teenager into custody.

The weapon was taken from the student, and the teenager was arrested.

School officials said there was no threat to students or staff.

Palisades High School Principal Erik Olejarczyk sent the following message to parents.
