AUSTIN, Texas — Plans for a concert venue slated to be built on Fitzhugh Road in Dripping Springs have been scrapped, neighbors say.

On Wednesday, a spokesperson for community members who objected to the venue's construction told KVUE that another company has acquired the property and won't be using it for a concert venue.

It is currently unclear who the new owner of the property is, and what they're intentions for the property are.

California-based developers had worked toward getting a permit from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to build the venue.
