WILLOUGHBY, Ohio — A Mentor man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting a 12-year-old boy and possessing prohibited images of minors, according to the Willoughby Police Department.
Police said the investigation began July 13, when the victim’s mother reported that her son had been inappropriately touched by an adult two days earlier. The next day, detectives arrested David Matthew Anderson-Shockey, 22, on a charge of gross sexual imposition, a third-degree felony.
During the arrest, officers seized Anderson-Shockey’s cellphone and later obtained a search warrant for it. They said they found multiple prohibited images of juveniles on the device, leading to additional felony charges: pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor and ille
