CARLYLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) - The FBI has launched an investigation at the Carlyle Police Department.

The City posted on social media that they were notified on Wednesday of the investigation. The next day, Chief Mark Pingsterhaus was placed on paid suspension.

According to the City of Carlyle, no charges have been filed. The city also stated that it is cooperating with the investigation and has no further comment.
