La. (KPLC) - Louisiana schools have improved academically for the fourth straight year, according to new data released by the Louisiana State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (BESE).

For the 2024-2025 academic year, Louisiana’s statewide performance score rose to 80.9, the highest level recorded under the current accountability structure and more than five points higher than in 2021, BESE said.

In Southwest Louisiana, Cameron and Vernon Parishes scored A grades, while Allen, Beauregard, Calcasieu, and Jeff Davis each received B grades.
