LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) - A woman has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to trying to stab police officers.
Ashley Dawn Biggs Neeley was sentenced to 27 years, with 15 years suspended for two incidents, according to Commonwealth’s Attorney Bethany Harrison.
In April 2025, Biggs Neeley pleaded guilty to charges of Attempted Malicious Wounding of a Law Enforcement Officer, Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer, and two misdemeanor counts of Assault and Battery of two different Child Protective Service Workers from 2023 incident, as well as charges of Assault of a Law Enforcement Officer and Felony Escape Without Force, from an incident in a September 2023.
Judge J. Frederick Watson conditioned the suspended sentences on 3 years of supervised probation upon Biggs Neeley’s release
