SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -The Salvation Army of Sioux Falls will be kicking off its annual Red Kettle Campaign at noon on Friday, with its annual Red Kettle Event happening at Scheels, an event that has grown in recent years.
“We’ll have the University of Sioux Falls Pop, Jazz, and Blues Band. They were with us last year, they’re a great band, they’ll have some preliminary music, and it will be a lot of fun. Our board chair will say a few words, I’ll say a few words, and then we’ll present Scheels with a plaque because they raised the most money last year at the Scheels Store, and we’ll have hot chocolate and coffee. I believe this year is sponsored by Caribou, so come out at noon at Scheels,” said Salvation Army Major Geffory Crowell.
