A new kitchenware store will open in downtown Vancouver on Saturday, welcoming customers with demonstrations, giveaways, product tastings and promotions from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Culinary Collective at 1012 Washington St., Suite 120, Vancouver (formerly Precision Personal Training) is co-owned by Vancouver residents Doris Towery and Cathy Baruth, both 57. The store will offer a selection of high-end cookware, bakeware, cutlery, culinary gadgets, tableware and barware. Towery said she intends to create a space where people can connect, not just with kitchen accoutrements, but also with other people.

“We just want to create this fun, joyful gathering space for people to connect around their passion of food,” Towery said.
