Montreal police announced Thursday they have arrested a 21-year-old man they say is a suspect in three stabbings in a month across Montreal and Repentigny.
Amine Keramcha was arrested Nov. 13 after investigators from Montreal and Repentigny police forces identified him through witness statements and other evidence, Montreal police said in a statement.
He appeared in custody at the Joliette courthouse. The charges include aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, armed robbery, assault and breach of probation, police said.
Among the alleged crimes, Keramcha is accused of attacking a 22-year-old man twice in the early hours of Oct. 18 near Sherbrooke St. E. and Langelier Blvd.
