Five teenagers have been charged after a convenience store worker was allegedly stabbed and left in a critical condition during an attempted robbery
Police allege the teenagers went to the convenience store on Burwood Road in Burwood at 2.20am on November 20, and attempted to steal items.
When a 28-year-old staff member intervened, he was allegedly stabbed by one of the teens.
The man was taken to hospital, where he remained in a critical but stable condition.
A crime scene was established at the convenience store and police launched a search for the group.
Officers were patrolling Blacktown railway station later on November 20 when the first suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was arrested at 8am.
