We are quickly approaching the winter season, and we’ve already had hints of winter temperatures after a cold front in early November.
Last winter (winter 2024-2025) was slightly below average in temperature. This was driven by below-average temperatures in January and February. January was 4.9 degrees below average and February was 3.7 degrees below average. December, on the other hand, was on the warmer side and 2.3 degrees above average.
We saw 15 inches of snowfall in meteorological winter, which is December through February, but when we factor in the end of November snowfall and a tiny amount in March, it was a season total of 18.6 inches.
We can get a lot of hints from last winter due to a similar pattern setting up in our upcoming winter.
