KILLEEN, Texas — Two former Killeen ISD employees resigned Thursday after admitting to sexual misconduct allegations involving their adult daughter, the district confirmed.

The district said the adult daughter, who never attended Killeen ISD schools, alleged her biological mother, Sebrenia Rangel, and stepfather, Josh Rangel, engaged in sexual misconduct between 2011 and 2013. The district said the conduct involved only family members and did not occur on school property or at school events.

The allegations were first reported to the Killeen Police Department in 2015, but the district attorney declined to prosecute due to insufficient evidence. The daughter notified Killeen ISD in 2020, but the district said it could not locate records of any follow-up at that time.
