COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 22-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal stabbing in the University District earlier this month, police said.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, Joseph Gerich is charged with one count of murder in the death of 21-year-old Robert Russell.
On Nov. 2, officers were called to the 1700 block of North High Street on a report of a stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers found Russell suffering from apparent stab wounds. He was transported to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, where he later died.
Police said it was determined that Russell was involved in an argument that escalated into a fight, leading to the stabbing.
