EL SERENO, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Shots were fired Thursday afternoon near a high school in the El Sereno neighborhood of Los Angeles, according to police, prompting a school lockdown.
The Los Angeles Police Department responded to Woodrow Wilson Senior High School on Multnomah Street just after 3:30 p.m. after receiving calls about a reported shooting.
Two suspects reportedly opened fire in the parking lot area, one of whom got into a truck - possibly a green truck - and took off, according to police.
The second suspect was seen running on Soto Street. Police said no victims were found.
The Los Angeles Fire Department cleared the scene later in the afternoon and also said no victims were found.
It's unclear what prompted the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
