LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - The Food Processing Center at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Innovation Campus held an open house Thursday to share more about what they do with manufacturers, researchers and students.
While the facility has been open for about 10 years now, officials say they haven’t done many tours since then and wanted to spread the word.
Grace Danao, a research associate professor for UNL’s Department of Food Science and Technology and a Food Processing Specialist with the center, said they work with food manufacturers both in and out of state to help them meet manufacturing and food safety requirements.
