The Boulder County commissioners on Tuesday approved a new minimum wage schedule on a 2-1 vote that dials back a previous planned increase that was higher than anywhere else in the county.
Commissioners Marta Loachamin and Claire Levy voted in favor of the new ordinance, while Commissioner Ashley Stolzmann voted “no” after proposing to table it indefinitely to allow more time to work toward a regional minimum wage. The revised minimum wage only applies to unincorporated areas of the county, which include places such as Gunbarrel, Hygiene and Niwot.
