The principal of a Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) school in Kishangarh was transferred by the civic body on administrative grounds on Thursday after it was alleged that he sent vulgar and offensive messages to female teachers in the school’s WhatsApp group.

The principal has been moved to a school in Sultanpuri with immediate effect, while an inquiry is underway, sources in the MCD said.

The issue had come up during MCD’s Standing Committee on Wednesday, following which Chairperson Satya Sharma had said that action will be taken soon in the matter.
