LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Crews are responding to a shooting in Lexington

In a social media post, the Lexington Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Blazer Parkway, near the Bluegrass Specialty Surgery Center, for a shooting with a victim.

When officers arrived, they located a male victim who had been shot. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that at this time, all parties have been identified and detectives are continuing to investigate the cause of the shooting. The preliminary investigation suggests there is no ongoing threat to the public.

The Fayette County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the victim.
