They have approved $45.24 per megawatt hour as the estimated rate for 2026, which is a 4.57% increase from the 2025 estimate.

The main point of discussion was adjustment number 12, which reflects removing all gas, coal firing, and related demand charges from the modeling of the Elm Road and Weston coal units. The removal of the portion related to Weston was uncontested, while the portion related to Elm Road (worth about $9.76 million) was. Ultimately, the commission maintained staff's adjustment due to insufficient justification for its inclusion.
