TOLEDO, Ohio — Police have arrested one person and issued a murder warrant for another in the Nov. 2 shooting death of 19-year-old Jasmine Queen in south Toledo.
Toledo police arrested Marvin Pettaway, 18, on Thursday on a murder charge and issued the warrant for Marshaun Purley, 18.
Queen was found shot in the early morning hours of Nov. 2 at a business plaza near the intersection of Hill Avenue and Reynolds Road and later died at the hospital. The shooting stemmed from a party or gathering at The Weekend restaurant and lounge, which spilled out into the parking lot of the plaza, according to police.
The Lucas County Coroner's Office ruled her death a homicide caused by a gunshot wound to the torso.
Two other women, 18 and 20, were injured in the shooting.
