Amitesh Shah, founder and CEO of LegaXy and former chief executive of Shikhar Dhawan’s management firm, has been named in an FIR in Gurgaon for allegedly cheating the cricketer by forging documents and misusing his image for an unauthorised endorsement during the Asia Cup.
According to the complaint, Shah continued to present himself as Dhawan’s authorised agent even after leaving the company, allegedly fabricating a representation agreement to maintain the appearance of legitimacy.
He is also accused of illegally renewing an expired endorsement contract with a cricket app, using Dhawan’s photographs without consent and finalising the deal under false authority, as reported by Times of India (TOI) .
The FIR further states that Shah diverted around ₹40 lakh from the renewed endorsemen
