GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Beneath an overcast sky, members of A Glimpse of Africa worked Thursday afternoon to unload the first van full of food at Hub 07, the Boston Square community center, ahead of a food distribution event the organization is hosting.

On Saturday, people can come out to the hub, located at 1534 Kalamazoo Avenue SE, to pick up food. The event will start at 2:30 p.m. and will run until the food is gone. Anyone who needs fresh food is welcome.

Events like this is just one way A Glimpse of Africa works to help new Americans from Africa thrive in West Michigan.
