CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- The Great American Smokeout was held today, bringing together several local organizations to support people looking to quit tobacco.

The event, sponsored by the Tobacco Free Community Coalition, featured resources and representatives from the Blue Ridge Health District, UVA Health, Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital and Region Ten. Their goal: provide tools, information, and encouragement for anyone ready to take steps toward quitting.
