FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WSMV) - The Franklin Police Department said they will be kicking off their annual initiative to deter theft and other crimes during the holiday season this week.
The annual “Not In Our Mall” operation is meant to deter theft, disrupt criminal activity and allow for a quicker police response during the holidays.
FPD said starting this week, people will notice a heavier police presence at Cool Springs Galleria and throughout the surrounding retail areas. Officers will be in uniform and plain clothes.
“Anyone who thinks about coming to our city to commit retail crime should think again,” said Franklin Police Chief Deb Faulkner. “We will be in the stores, in the parking lots, and everywhere in between. If you steal, we will catch you and put you in jail. It’s that simple.”
