MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - The Memphis Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run in Raleigh that left one person fighting for their life at the hospital Thursday night.

MPD reports that the pedestrian was hit amid a three-vehicle crash on Yale Road near Covington Pike. Officers responded to the scene at 6:56 p.m.

Police say the pedestrian was the only party injured in the crash, and the driver responsible for hitting the nonmotorist did not remain at the scene.

The pedestrian was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
