OGILVIE — Ella Brewer scored 27 points and Mimi Bueckers added 25 as the Pine River-Backus Tigers exploded into the new season with a 95-36 non-conference victory over the Ogilvie Lions Thursday, Nov. 20.

PRB’s Sawyer Tulenchik tallied 14 points. Caylei Johnson scored 10 and Leah Eveland finished with nine to help the Tigers jump to a 59-20 halftime lead.

BEMIDJI — Malin Youngberg finished with 22 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Little Falls Flyers as they held on to defeat the Bemidji Lumberjacks 61-60 in their season opener Thursday, Nov. 20.

Samantha Pint chipped in 14 points for the Flyers and Ehlin Youngberg added seven points.
