Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco will turn 41 in January. He’s in the midst of his 18 th NFL season, with his sixth different team, and second this season.
And even so, Flacco isn’t quite ready to call it quits on his football career.
The Super Bowl champion said he would like to be a starting quarterback somewhere in the NFL next season, and is hopeful his stint with the Bengals serves as proof he can still play at a high level.
“Hopefully it reinforces it in somebody’s mind that I can do it,” Flacco told ESPN on Wednesday. “I do still want to do it. I still feel like I can do it. This obviously does help with the confidence of being able to do it and all that stuff. I would like an opportunity, but you just never know.”
