O’FALLON, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The O’Fallon, Mo. Board of Aldermen is considering a proposal to pause acceptance, processing, and approval of any new applications for multi-family or apartment developments for a year as residents express concerns about rapid growth.
Linda Roth, who moved from O’Fallon to Wentzville as the city expanded, returned Thursday to show support for the proposed moratorium.
“As the years progressed, it just got bigger and bigger and bigger, and so, I’m like ‘I need to get out of here,’ so I went out to Wentzville,” Roth said.
Roth said school class sizes have grown since she lived in O’Fallon.
“The schools already have like 30 kids per class... When I moved out here, it was like 24,” she said.
Supporters of the pause say it is necessary to address issues rang
