The county’s two most important council leaders have clashed - accusing each other of presiding over “chaos”, being “weak” and coming up with “bonkers” plans.
Appearing on the Kent Politics Podcast, KCC chief Cllr Linden Kemkaran and her Medway counterpart, Cllr Vince Maple, traded several verbal blows.
Their appearance followed weeks of controversy at County Hall, which has seen Reform expel seven of its own members following a major party falling out over a leaked video of an internal meeting.
But when pressed on these problems, Cllr Kemkaran attacked Cllr Maple - saying that Medway Labour suspended two of its members last year, only to welcome them back when politically convenient.
